Memories and collectibles
Updated 2026-10-29
Search results for this game’s collectibles sometimes surface a Twin Mirror guide. That page is a different game. Nothing below comes from it. The sources checked for this page do not establish a complete room-by-room memory list, so this page explains the rules reviewers agree on and stops where the coordinates would have to be invented.
What the objects are
Four outlets describe the same smashable things with different nouns: glass statues (Guardian), crystal formations (SmashPad), memory bubbles (SteamDeckHQ), statuary (Screen Rant). I call them memory objects and keep the original words next to each claim.
| Kind | What sources say | Agreement |
|---|---|---|
| Red | Break enough of them and a deeper core memory opens. | SmashPad, Retcon, Phrasemaker, SteamDeckHQ |
| “Ten reds” | SmashPad says ten reds open a hub where you smash a larger red structure. “Eight core memories, I believe.” | SmashPad only. Not confirmed. |
| White | A single personal memory. | SmashPad, Phrasemaker |
| Blue | A single personal memory, or a hologram. | Screen Rant, SteamDeckHQ, Retcon |
| Automatic | Some memories play without a smash. | SteamDeckHQ only |
| Required? | You can reach an ending without every memory. | SmashPad only; not an unlock rule independently tested here. |
| Finding hidden objects | Knocking a robot into a wall can reveal a memory object. | Rock Paper Shotgun only. |
White and blue are a real conflict. I am not merging them into a three-colour system. The known named example on the fgw chapter list is “Memory: Merche’s Final Wish” at 0:13:24. That is one named video chapter, not proof of a mandatory memory or a complete checklist.
Achievement names such as Teen Crops and Lost Mama read like memory lines. Steam does not map an achievement to a memory, so I will not. The list is on achievements. Chapter order is on the walkthrough.
A practical collection pass, without claiming 100%
- Before leaving a recognizable area, inspect side rooms and breakable walls. Steam and So Many Games both connect exploration and destruction with discovering memories. This is a search method, not an all-locations route.
- Keep red-object progress separate from a white/blue personal scene. The ten-red threshold is SmashPad’s single-source claim; do not treat the tentative eight-core count as a verified total.
- Record each scene you actually recognize by its visible title, not by an achievement name. Steam achievement flavour text does not prove a one-to-one memory match.
| Scene / area | Public evidence | Exact location / missability |
|---|---|---|
| Merche’s Final Wish | fgw, 0:13:24; title from one recording | Exact object location unknown; whether mandatory is not established |
| Side areas in Virtud | So Many Games describes optional exploration leading to memories; Steam describes uncovering memories through destruction. | No verified per-building checklist in the sources checked here |
| Complete collection / ending tie | No source used here establishes a full location list or all missable flags. | Unknown; no coordinates, completionist time or unlock condition is estimated |
