Questions
Is Virtue and a Sledgehammer on PS5, Xbox, or Switch?
Not as of 29 October 2026. Steam’s platform flags are Windows only, and the Devolver press kit says Windows PC. No console announcement was found. Steam Deck is Verified, which is the PC build on a handheld.
Is this a Call of Duty game, or made by Sledgehammer Games?
No. It is developed by Deconstructeam and Selkie Harbour and published by Devolver Digital. The sledgehammer is an object in the story, not the studio Sledgehammer Games.
Is this Virtue’s Last Reward?
No. Virtue’s Last Reward is a different game. This title is Virtue and a Sledgehammer, a 2026 PC release.
Is False Awakening the sequel?
No. False Awakening is fingerspit’s eight-track demo soundtrack EP from 3 July 2026. It is not Virtue and a Sledgehammer 2.
Is there a sequel or DLC?
No sequel has been announced. SteamDB lists an unnamed app id 5442190 under DLC with no name, date, or store page. That is not a released add-on, and it is not proof the game will never have one.
Where is the studio’s own site?
The studio site is virtueandasledgehammer.com. This guide is virtueandasledgehammer.net. They are different sites. The .com page links to Steam.
How much does it cost, and is there a demo?
Steam US was $14.99 on 29 October 2026, with £13.99, €14.99, ¥59, and ¥1,900 in the regions checked. The demo is free, dated 7 June 2026, and covers the first area. Virtue: Prologue is a separate free download, not the demo.
What is the Chinese name?
Steam’s simplified Chinese page uses 美德与重锤. Several Chinese news posts write 美德与大锤. A Sohu post that dates the game to 2023 is not reliable.
What content warnings does Steam list?
Violence and profanity. The page also flags racist and homophobic characters, which the store says are not endorsed, plus death, euthanasia, suicide, self-harm, bullying, misogyny, abusive relationships, corporal punishment, and legal drugs.
Is there a Mac version?
Steam lists macOS as false. There is no native Mac build in the sources checked on 29 October 2026.
